Physical Description (in addition to any pictures you might submit)
5'7, 140 lbs, Rook is deceptively muscular, and subtly athletic, but her ample hips and curvaceous assets, almost lasciviously organic, leave no doubt as to her femininity. If seeing her up close makes the observer feel a little like seeing a leopardess in her natural habitat without the benefit of artificial boundaries or barriers, she is oblivious to it. She moves with a natural, feral grace, a ubiquitous Cheshire smile spread across her ambiguously exotic features, coal black hair cropped short into a pixie cut--long, tapered spikes frame the contours of her face, accentuating a pair of peridot eyes under perfectly groomed brows. The woman is fastidious, with cafe au lait skin, and prefers casual clothing, usually with pop culture referential humor, despite the unintentionally forboding aura that lingers as prominently as the scent of nag champa and pomegranates in the wake of the intoxicating roll of her hips as she passes near.
Background: Renee was born "Rajini Aseem" in a remote coastal jungle village in the Pondicherry region of India, but she has very little recollection of her time there. Shortly after her adolescence, her parents and two older siblings were butchered by marauding poachers. This triggered her first change, and once the assailants were aware of what she was, they took her captive and presumably sold her. Memories after this period of time are only of clinical environments, batteries of intelligence testing, sensory testing, agility testing, and a very lonely period of incarceration.
Her only surviving sibling, Andhera "Indigo" Aseem, paid a Get of Fenris Mercenary by the name of Retter to free her and return her to Pondicherry, but the garou was charmed by her company and once it became evident that Indigo only wished to put her into an arranged marriage, the two continued on the lam throughout Europe. Indigo eventually caught up with them, murdering Retter and returning home with his sister, who promptly escaped again and has been avoiding him ever since.
Because of her initial attachment to Retter, she has developed a fondness for the Full Moon warriors of the Garou nation, a preference that obviously causes problems for all parties involved. After one such relationship turned abusive she checked herself into a shelter run by a Pumonca elder in Big Cypress reserve in the south florida swamps. Azores Proudfoot became her mentor and educator with respect to the ways of the bastet, and eventually managed to rise to a respectable rank--which she is continuously prone to losing due to her wild and unpredictable nature. After some time in Savannah, Azores inherited some property in the swamps of Louisiana, near Manchac, and sent Renee to investigate. After wrecking her car, she wandered onto the property of the Hair of the Dog bar and grill, and met Takoda Fisher. The two had an immediately volatile chemistry, and tormented one another nearly constantly until it became clear that they were obviously predestined to be together. She wears an arrowhead on a necklace--an arrowhead that Koda shot at her shortly after they first met.
Renee constantly struggles with her need for staunch autonomy and independence and her clear, abiding love for Koda. She is quite at home in the swamps, but does a bit of wandering, often returning to her Ban Bhat's den realm for new assignments and tagharims.
Renee is fond of Maker's Mark Whiskey, Clove Cigarettes, and Hookahs. Her past is largely mysterious, checkered with large chunks of time unaccounted for. She can usually be found on her porch, lazing in her hammock, taking comfort in her collection of vices and books.
What brings your character to the Compound/Hair of the Dog/Manchac, LA.
Takoda asked Renee to return to the place they met, and she is there simply because as cantankerous as they are, she can't deny him anything, and she wholeheartedly believes in the vision he and Henri originally had for the place.
